Afeef Zara Airways Will Launch Its Operations Soon
The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has approved Regular Public Transport (RPT) for Afeef Zehra Airways. The airline will start its operations in the first half of the year 2019
Afeef Group Chairman Rashid Ahmed Siddiqui said, “Afeef Zara Airways has obtained its Regular Public Transport license from the Civil Aviation Authority and has plans to commence its domestic flights in six months.”
“AZA” is the third domestic airline that has obtained an RPT license over the last year and a half with the other two being “Serene Air” and “Air Sial.” On the other hand, Serene Airline has already commenced operations.
“The airline will start domestic flights between Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad with three airplanes, the minimum fleet requirements of CAA for an RPT license,” Siddiqui said.
AZA belongs to Afeef Group which is a leading disposable packaging manufacturer in Pakistan. Its business segments include Afeef Foods, Afeef Packages and Printing, Afeef Furniture and Trading, and Afeef Builders.
The airline is entering at a prime time as PTI government is striving to uplift tourism in Pakistan.
